Two Moto X-Smart Phones on the Road: Connect Modules on the back

Be launched not only one Moto X this year, but two. On both, it will be even possible to add modular accessory connector pin on the back 16 via.

Year 2016 looks to be the year where there can be swapped among modules to your smartphone. LG was first with the idea with the G5, but now leads Motorola/Lenovo idea for use in two Moto X-models, which right now is under preparation.

It is the website Venturebeat with Twitter-tipsteren evleaks or Evan Blass in the lead, who has published many new details about the two Moto X-smartphones, after which the other day was leaked three relatively sharp press photos of them.

The first model going by the name of Vertex and is the white model, which can be seen above. The can to some extent be compared to the former Moto X Play and offers therefore on a medium class Snapdragon 625-processor and two variants with either 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage or 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.

On the other hand, gets it, just as Moto X Play, a huge battery of whole 3,500 mAh. On the camera front, you can also look forward to 13 megapixels, which will be complemented with optical image stabilization and laser auto focus.

Then there is the other model, Vector Thin, as is the top model and the sequel to last year’s Moto X Style. It will be equipped with the lightning-fast Snapdragon 820 processor, which again is the choice between two configurations: Either 3 or 4 GB of RAM, where both will have 32 GB of storage. The large battery from Vertex model will be, however, shrunk a share to only 2,600 mAh, which is relatively small in a time when most top models come with around 3,000 mAh or more.

Visually is the only difference between the two variants that Vertex with the large battery meter 7 mm in thickness, where the top model Vector Thin, as the name indicates, is a thin case in just 5.2 mm. The two Moto X-smartphones will have both an AMOLED screen on 5.5 “. Vertex will have a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (Full HD), while Vector Thin gets the higher QHD-1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution.

Add smart modules on the back

Since the first photos were revealed of what now turns out to be two Moto X-smartphones, it indicated that Lenovo would move your speakers from the front to the back. However, it turns out not to be the case. Motorola has bigger plans with the 16 small dots that can be discerned in the lower part of the back.

It turns out that in the case of 16 so-called pins or plug pins, which can be connected to the modules directly on the back – a little in style with the LG G5, but possibly a little more elegant. Moto X-phones need not to be turned off (unlike LG G5) to switch modules off. The modules have 16 matching magnets that would ensure a safe connection.

And which modules are there to talk about? According to the rumor from Venture Beat has the Motorola/Lenovo PT. prepared 6 different modules, as they call for Amps. One of the modules is a colored back, which included free with, when you buy one of the phones.

The other modules is a stereo speaker, a battery pack, a camera grip with Flash and optical zoom, a pico-projector and a hardwearing cover with a wide-angle lens. This is just a Motorola’s own modules, which, of course, will be sold as an accessory. It will also be possible for manufacturers of accessories to create their own modules for the two phones, it sounds.

It is even hard to see for themselves how modules are exactly going to take it out. It sounds, however, that they should be so thin that they are flush with the round camera module, which protrudes slightly out from the back. Some of the modules must be supposed in one form or another to fill essential more – perhaps as an extension of the bottom.

All of this will be we probably wiser on when Lenovo might unveils the phones on 9. June. In any event, it is the date when Lenovo’s Director has teaset for a new Moto device will be on display.
